The paper explores how body-based, site-responsive artistic practices are translated into museum narratives through processes of sensory mediation, reshaping how Taiwan’s late martial law period is felt, perceived, and spatially remembered. Focusing on the tension between sensory re-enactment and curatorial framing, it asks how museums turn embodied memory into legible heritage while negotiating lingering atmospheres of pain, presence, and place.
